We were approached by the Sandy Cove Hotel to help promote their stunning new hotel with our Matterport Hotel Virtual Tours. The Matterport 360 Virtual Tour technology allowed us to gain a stunning insight into the rooms of the hotel and easily share this with potential guests of the beautiful hotel by simple embed codes to the website.
The hardest part of marketing for hotels can be giving guests an insight into rooms, restaurants and suites. Too often photographic work presents an unrealistic image of a room, or it doesn’t have the capacity to show off intricate details or features that guest will love. Our 360 tours or ‘walkthroughs’ let guests explore the hotel of their dreams at their own leisure and from the comfort of their own home.
The addition of ‘mattertags’ allow us to ‘tag’ up rooms. A tag is essentially a physical link which people can interact with as they walk through a room. These link back to webpages for example showcasing a breakfast menu, things to do close to the hotel, more information or a direct link to a booking page.
Our Matterport Hotel 360 virtual tours offer more than just stunning walkthroughs. Using the scanning technology on the camera we can create accurate floor plans for a variety of needs, as well as a 3D dollhouse view which allows viewers to see the entire property or room as a 3D model to grasp an overview of the shape and rooms.
By placing our camera at intervals throughout the location we can create internal walkthroughs that allows viewers to walk through a location, from the rooms and suites, to reception, restaurants spa and more. This allows the viewer to view every angle and room at their own pace on their computer, tablet or even phone from the luxury of their home. Our walkthroughs are easily embeddable on websites, and provide a great amount of user interaction, with the average viewing time between 3-4 minutes, much longer than with photo or other content.
